Detox
I’m on day 4 of detox from Facebook.  I’m not gonna lie, there are some days when I just don’t know what I’m actually supposed to do on the internet anymore. ~c

Today has been rough. I’m fairly certain I’ve failed in almost every possible way.  Patience.  Grace.  Understanding.  Love.  Forgiveness.  Friendship.  Faith.  Not feeling super great about myself right now.  But I’m really thankful that I’m not really what matters, and I’m not the deciding factor.  Really with that my talk would match up better with my walk. Yeah,...

Sunday Set List
I haven’t done this in a while, but I want to get back into it.  A lot of times worship leaders will post what their set list was the previous Sunday.  I kinda think it makes more sense to post what your set list will be, so that’s what I’m gonna start doing (again).  This way, you can know what songs we are doing, listen to them in advance, learn them, figure out why I chose...

Excerpts from a conversation with Swedi
[Somehow I forgot the best exchange of all! I added it all for your pleasure.]
Me: Do you want 2 cheeseburgers and a small fry, 1 cheeseburger and a large fry, or a cheeseburger, share fries with me, and then get a milkshake.
Swedi: WHAT?! Oh man! Ummmm...I'll just get 2 cheeseburgers and a small fry. I'm trying to lose some weight. Wait...do cheeseburgers make you fat?
Me: If you eat too many.
Swedi: Ok, good. I'll have 2 cheeseburgers.

(Background - I picked up Swedi to go to McDonalds, because he achieved a goal we had set for him. Swedi Got in the car and we started driving.)
Swedi: Did you already eat McDonalds?!
Me: No man! That's what I'm picking you up for, right?
Swedi: Oh...ok...
Me: Why would you ask that?
Swedi: Cause you smell like McDonalds.
~~~~
Swedi: Do you like Bakugan?
Me: No, I don't think so? I don't really know what it is. Do you like it?
Swedi: No, it's for kids.
Me: But you're a kid...
Swedi: UH! JEREMY!!! He said that I was a grown-up!!
Swedi: I know what I want for my birthday next year.
Me: Swedi, your birthday was just 11 days ago.
Swedi: A PS3.
Swedi: Is Taco Bell a restaurant?
Me: Kind of. I think most people would consider it "fast food."
Me: Do you know what the difference between fast food and a restaurant are?
Swedi: Kind of.
Me: Other fast food places would be like McDonalds, Burger King, or Taco Johns. Can you think of what a nice restaurant might be?
Swedi: Dennys?
Me: Yup. Dennys.
(As I pulled up to the door to drop him off at youth group)
Swedi: Are there trains in California?
Me: Yeah.
Swedi: Underground trains?
Me: Oh, no.
Swedi: Ok, bye. (Then he hopped out and closed the door on me.)
Banksy, Creativity, and the Church pt.1.5
Well, it’s been longer than I intended it to be since my original post, but this week has been a little disheveled since we’ve moved into a new office and been without internet for a few days.  I do plan on talking more about that post, but I don’t want to slap some fingers on some keys just to get a follow-up post going.  Thanks for understanding.  Assuming that you do...
