2011 MLB Season Predictions.
These days everyone seems to be making their picks and decisions about the upcoming season.  I figured I’d do the same.  Here are my predictions for the 2011 Baseball Season: I’ll have to watch too many games I won’t be able to eat enough stadium food Es will hold her fingers up in the “V for Vladdy” sign every chance she gets, even if he’s not playing for...

Some Thoughts on "Modern Day Slavery."
I don’t know much about sports.  I don’t really enjoy sports all that much.  So needless to say, I’ve never really thought it made a lot of sense to pay professional athletes millions of dollars, but hey - it’s how the system works.  Or something. Well, one real genius NFL player, Adrian Peterson, made a comment about the ongoing dispute/discussion between the owners and...

Real Blogging.
I know I haven’t written much lately.  Lots of videos and pictures, with a few health updates here and there. The good news is that I really feel like I’m thinking, or growing, or processing something.  You can expect to hear about it in the next few days.  Or weeks.  Or maybe not ever.  Things are pretty unpredictable these days. Just know there is more going on inside of me than...

WatchWatch
I tweeted a link to this the other day, but I really don’t want anyone to miss how incredible this is.  Josh Garrels is incredibly talented.  To sound like a magazine revue, he has the most hauntingly beautiful voice and songs.  Get some. ~c

Sunday Set List 3.20
I’ve taken a bit of a break the past few weeks from some of the more text-heavy posts.  (Most of the health-related ones were just copied over from emails to family and friends.) But to get back on the wagon, here are the songs for this Sunday: Light Up The Darkness - The Bridge Band Beautiful Things - Gungor Unchanging - Chris Tomlin Nothing But The Blood of Jesus - Robert Lowrey ...

We're back.
Ok.  So we’re back in the hospital.  Es woke up this morning with really extreme cramping, so we called the specialist and she said to come in.  They ran some tests and did an ultrasound, and while everything with the surgery is still fine (stitches, etc), Es’ body is convinced it’s time to have the baby.  They have her on a drug called indocin which should stop ...

Hospital, Day 3.
Hey Everybody,  here is the latest update: They took Es off of the magnesium sulfate this morning at 8, and within 45 minutes she was back to normal.  That med essentially relaxes every muscle in her body to the point where she can barely keep her eyes open and her knees don’t react to the reflex tests.  It didn’t do anything to her mind though, so while she was thinking and awake...

The Glow of Technology
I’m laying in a roll-a-way bed in the hospital. I can hear the second hand ticking on the clock above me.  I can see Es sleeping across the room, lit up with the glow of computers, scanners, and other sorts of technological advancements.  And I’m spilling my guts on a blog. Technology is supposed to save my baby tomorrow morning, but I still wish that God did it miraculously this...

An update on Es and the baby.
We had our appointment this morning and it didn’t go as well as we hoped. Here are the basic details: There is no infection, but the cervix has opened up all the way. They’ve admitted her to the hospital and will do surgery in the morning to close things up. Best case scenario, Es will be sent home in a week, and then be on bed rest for 6 weeks.  This is where prayer becomes difficult. We don’t...
