Goodbye Facebook, Hello Facebook.
So If you’ve been following this blog for any amount of time you probably remember that I’m not a huge fan of Facebook. In fact, I closed my account for 4 or 5 months. I recently reopened it to help promote the CD release show/benefit fundraiser. I don’t regret that decision, but I’m also faced with a dilemma of staying in touch with certain people, and I’m also...

There’s some crazy stuff happening. I’ve got some good friends and family.
30 Weeks.
For a long time I was updating family pretty regularly via email on the latest news about Es and the baby, and I was trying to post updates on the blog as well. Well, as there has been less “news” there have been less updates. A good and bad thing!
Today marks the 30 week mark for Es and the baby, which is pretty amazing. Es has been on bed rest either at home or in the hospital...

Worship, Part 1
I am teaching a class on worship right now, and it’s pretty intimidating and exciting. I’ve not taught a class specifically on worship before, so I’m excited to be able to dive deep into the topic for 4 weeks in a row.

One Song: Noah Gundersen
Today I’m going to start a series of posts where I highlight one song by an artist or band. I love music and it has so much affect on my life. It sets the pace and the mood of my days. It affects my attitude and my emotions. It helps me learn and it helps me share.
So yeah…it’s kind of a big deal to me.
So yeah, I’ll post one song from an artist and a couple short...

Sunday Set List 5.8.2011
I’ve been kind of slacking on these updates lately, so I wanted to make a quick post about this last Sunday’s songs.
Dress Us Up - John Mark McMillan Come Thou Fount - Trinity Grace Church arrangement I Am Set Free - Sons & Daughters
I love that John Mark McMillan song, as well as most of his songs. The lyrics and confidence and joy that shine through that song are just...

Recording: done.
Yesterday was spent in the recording studio. It was exhausting and a ton of fun. I went in hoping to record 5 songs, and that’s exactly what we were able to do:
Some Things To Say The 507 When Is Enough Enough It’s Home Medic
The ones I thought were the best ended up becoming my least favorite, and the ones I was unsure of I now love. I don’t know what that means for these...

Home.
We’re sitting at home right now.
It’s pretty glorious.
Es and the baby have been stable for the last few weeks, and the doctors have been giving Es more freedom as well. Her body has responded well, and so they felt it was time for her to come home.
After about 9 weeks in the hospital, I don’t think either of us could have been more ready.
She’ll be on bed rest here...
