Some Live Music
This past Sunday at The Gateway Church was pretty amazing. It just felt like everything came together perfectly, and I really believe that God used the service to help draw us closer in to him as individuals and as a community.
Another part of the service that I loved so much was the worship. It was very raw and stripped down. As I may have mentioned before, we have three individual bands at Gateway. These bands play together once a month on Sunday mornings and are responsible for picking sets, bringing in new songs, writing new music, and choosing the direction and sound the band will have.
One of the bands that stands out the most in their style is the band that played this weekend. Consisting of a dobro, bass, acoustic guitar, and a really fantastic percussion/drum set-up, it’s always cool to hear how the songs turn out.
Here are a couple live recordings from Sunday. It’s just the house mix, so all the levels that you heard in the room were different than this recording, but it still gives a good idea about how things sounded.
